Below is the schedule of work we undertake during a Brompton service:
- Remove wheels, degrease drivetrain and clean main frame
- Clean chain tensioner
- Service rear Alfine hub with new oil, inline with Shimano's service schedule
- Visual inspection of bike for damage
- Check rear hinge wear
- Check and lubricate main frame hinges
- Clean and grease hinge clamps
- Check bottom bracket for wear
- Check, adjust and tighten headset
- Check chainring bolts and crank bolts are correctly torqued
- Check pedals, remove and re grease pedal threads
- True wheels
- Check and tighten headset
- Check mudguards and fittings
- Gear adjustment and service
- Check wear on disc rotors
- Brake adjustment and service
- Check and pump up tyres
- Tighten and torque all bolts
- Test ride bike
